FAQ

  • In your sessions with Christine, you can expect a warm, non-judgmental environment where you're free to explore your thoughts and feelings.

Christine will work collaboratively with you to identify goals and develop strategies to address your concerns.

  • Sessions typically last 50 minutes, although the initial session may be slightly longer to allow for a comprehensive assessment.

The frequency of sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals, which Christine will discuss with you during your initial appointment.

  • Christine takes your privacy and confidentiality seriously. All information shared in sessions is kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed without your consent, except in rare circumstances required by law (such as if there is an imminent risk of harm to yourself or others).

Christine adheres to the ethical guidelines set forth by professional regulatory bodies to ensure the highest standards of privacy and confidentiality.

  • Fees for sessions with Christine are in line with industry standards and will be discussed with you upon your enquiry with our administrative team.

Medicare rebates may be available for eligible clients referred under a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP. Additionally, private health insurance rebates may apply depending on your level of coverage. Christine's administrative staff can assist you in navigating the rebate process and maximising your benefits.

  • Christine's practice accepts clients accessing clinical psychology services through their Private Health Insurer, Medicare, Work Cover, TAC, DVA, BUPA, Bluehub, Ambulance Victoria and Open Arms.

  • While you do not necessarily need a referral to see a clinical psychologist, having a referral from your GP may entitle you to Medicare rebates for sessions with Christine under a Mental Health Care Plan. If you're unsure whether you require a referral, feel free to contact Christine's practice for guidance.

  • We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, requiring the need to reschedule or cancel appointments.

To ensure the smooth operation of her practice and accommodate the needs of all clients, Christine requests that you provide at least 48 business hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This excludes weekends and public holidays.

Missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee.

However, Christine understands that emergencies can happen, and exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

Please contact Christine's practice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.
